Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on World Socionics Society. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Behaviour

    1. Do not post anything that is 'abusive' to an individual or group of people, regardless of whether they are on this forum or not.

A comment shall be deemed 'abusive' when it meets the following conditions: 1)The comment is a remark or statement about an individual or group of people, 2) expresses a negative judgement of that person, and 3) is tenuous enough in relation to the purpose of the conversation or thread that the primary intention behind the remark is to express hostility or offend another person, rather than contribute to the forum. #
    2. Unless in the fulfilment of administerial duties, do not try to circumnavigate another member of the forum blocking you. #
    3. We take a flexible approach to battle-typing. Here are the guidelines:

      1. If someone has clearly told you they do not appreciate being told they are a type they do not identify with, STOP.

      2. If a person is self-benchmarking, i.e. presenting themselves as an example of their self-identified type that people can learn from about the type in general. Feel free to air your disagreement with this, but do not harass the person on this point, i.e. continue raising the issue directly with them after they have said they do not want to talk about it further. #
  2. Users

    1. Do not deliberately try to maintain multiple accounts on the forum. If you are experiencing a technical issue, please reach out to an admin. #
    2. Do not share content entrusted to your account with someone else not afforded the same level of access. #
  3. Posting

    1. Do not deliberately create new threads in irrelevant sub-forums. #
    2. Do not 'spam', unless in a special sub-forum allowing this.
'spam' shall be defined as the provision of posts that have no connection to the thread topic. #
    3. Do not post anything which would bring the owner of this forum into legal trouble. #
    4. Do not post anything which would require an age-restriction of 18+ on the forum, unless in a special sub-forum allowing this. #
  4. Consequences

    1. We will try to enforce a '3 strike' system for any breaches to these rules, meaning that you get a strike each time you break the rules and are removed from the forum should you attain 3 strikes. If you do not break the rules for 6 months you may also have a strike taken away from you.

This system will be in force unless in the case of a very serious breach, such as something that may put the owner of the forum in legal trouble if tolerated, in which case, the user may be banned from the forum even if they don't have 3 strikes #
